Dr Rick Hanson, an eminent neuropsychologist, in his book entitled Hardwiring the Brain for Happiness, states that mindfulness training that enhances our abilities to stay with our present moment experience, with an open attitude of acceptance, is in itself not enough. The communities of Doughiska/Merlin Woods, Roscam, and Ardaun are hosting a Pride of Place celebration this Saturday August 22. The event begins with a community parade leaving from Castlegar Community Centre in Roscam at 1pm and finishes at Doughiska Park.
